Ngày 23 tháng 10 năm 2018 TS. Đào Thị Hoa Hồng báo cáo kết quả đề tài Luận án Tiến sỹ với nội dung "Threatened tree species across conservation zones in a nature reserve of north-western Vietnam"

Buổi sinh hoạt học thuật với nội dung:TS. Đào Thị Hoa Hồng báo cáo kết quả Luận án với đề tài "Threatened tree species across conservation zones in a nature reserve of north-western Vietnam"

TS. Đào Thị Hoa Hồng đã trình bày các kết quả đạt được của Luận án:

Case study 1:

- Site condition and forest structural characteristics:

Site condition were similar. Forest structure were significant differences. Tree species richness in the core zone was the highest, followed by the buffer zone and restoration zone.

- Abundance of red-listed tree species:

Total 18 red-listed tree species in three conservation zones. The number of red-listed tree species in the core zone was the highest with 16 species, followed by the buffer zone (10 species) and restoration zone (5 species).

- Relationship of ecological and human disturbance factors to the abundance of red-listed tree species:

There were 3 factors affected the abundance of red-listed tree species, namely basal area, canopy closure and a number of foot paths.

Case study 2:

- Site condition and forest structural characteristics:

Site condition were very similar. Forest structure was difference.

- Tree classification:

The total number of tree species was 249 tree species. Totally 120 NTFP tree species (48%).

- Difference in tree community: core zone vs. buffer zone.

(1) At tree level: The density was increased in the buffer zone, but red-listed tree was decreased. Tree with DBH < 30 cm was increased in the buffer zone, but tree with DBH ≥ 30 cm was decreased.

(2) At species level: The density and DBH of species were decreased.

- Logistic regression models: Probability of tree absence.

(1) At tree level: Multiple logistic regression model was used with 4 variables, namely red-listed, DBH, density and NTFP. Direction of influence: Red-listed and DBH made a decrease the probability of tree absence, while density and NTFP made an increase the probability of tree absence.

(2) At species level: Probability of species absence: Single logistic regression model, "Density of species" was a significant variable.

- Relationships of tree structure and human disturbance to the abundance of NTFP species:

Human disturbance to the abundance of NTFP species was diverse, it made both an increase and a decrease in some tree species.

Sau khi nghe TS. Đào Thị Hoa Hồng trình các thầy/cô đã đóng góp các ý kiến về bản báo cáo và đưa ra kết luận chung như sau: 

Nên có thêm nghiên cứu về xác suất biến mất của loài cây có liên quan đến diễn thế sinh thái.

Các phương pháp nghiên cứu được áp dụng có thể được ứng dụng trong giảng dạy và các nghiên cứu tương tự.
